January 26, 2021 – The Woodlands, TX – Kimbal Musk, younger brother of Elon Musk and co-founder of The Kitchen Community, a 501c3 nonprofit, is connecting kids to real food by creating Learning Gardens in schools across America.  Learning Gardens teaches children about food, healthy eating, lifestyle choices and the environment through lesson plans and activities tied into existing school curriculum.

The Kitchen Community built 260 USA Learning Gardens across Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and Memphis.  The Kitchen Community then became part of a new nonprofit called Big Green, and this is where King StarBoard® became part of the story.

They were looking for a material that would hold up to outdoor elements and exposure to hundreds of children touching, handling and working with the raised flower beds that are part of the Learning Gardens program.  For complete details on the published article, visit
