King Plastic—Liberty University Lockers

July 10, 2018 – The Woodlands, TX – The Liberty Natatorium lockers are made using 3/4” gauge, 48” x 96” King StarBoard® ST polymer building sheets in custom Liberty Blue and a standard Charcoal Gray color.  King StarBoard® ST is an advanced polymer that is 25% stiffer than the original King StarBoard®.

Initial Situation

Liberty University Cabinet Shop was tasked with building lockers for the new Natatorium. They needed a material that would hold up to more moisture than most locker rooms they had done in the past.

Task

The Liberty University Cabinet Shop fabricated and installed lockers made with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) material, King StarBoard® ST.

Solution

King StarBoard® ST is waterproof and environmentally stabilized and has been developed to withstand the harshest conditions. It will not warp, rot, or delaminate when exposed to humidity or water. It can be fabricated using common woodworking tools and techniques.
