Arkema Kynar® PVDF For Chemical Applications

Arkema has been #1 producer of PVDF since 1963.  Kynar® is the trademark of Arkema and typically produced in powder or pellets for extrusion or molding applications.

Engineers, chemists, designers, and manufacturers have many material choices for chemical handling.  One of the most chemically resistant family of materials are the fluoroplastics.  Of this family of materials, Kynar® is the strongest and is one of the least expensive.  Kynar® is usually the first fluoropolymer to think about when designing chemical handling systems under pressure.

Kynar® red polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) from NIBCO (Chemtrol) is ideal for use with hot corrosive liquids, chemical processing, industrial plating, and waste treatment systems. Kynar® red PVDF exhibits superior strength, working temperature and chemical resistance characteristics. The red pigment provides UV protection.

In addition to pipe, valves, and fittings, Kynar® PVDF is also available in chemical metering pump heads, sheet, rod, and tubing applications.  For more information on Arkema Kynar® PVDF for chemical applications, visit www.arkema.com.
